The University of York Europe Campus, in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, successfully organised the panel discussion “Leadership in the Age of AI: What Remains Human?” in Belgrade, bringing together leaders from academia and industry to explore the future of leadership in an increasingly AI-driven world.

The event was moderated by Prof. Leslie T. Szamosi, Dean of our School of Business and Director of the Executive MBA and featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Prof. Yannis Manolopoulos, Dean of our School of Science. Discussions focused on how artificial intelligence is reshaping organisations, decision-making, and leadership, while highlighting the enduring importance of human values, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.

The panel attracted academics, business leaders, alumni, and participants from the AMCHAMPS programme, creating a dynamic platform for dialogue and exchange of perspectives on the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.

Following the discussion, guests attended a networking cocktail reception, where more than 100 alumni and participants continued conversations and strengthened professional connections in an engaging and collaborative atmosphere.

The University of York Europe Campus extends its sincere thanks to the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, the panelists, alumni, and all attendees for contributing to a successful and thought-provoking event.
