Bridging talent with career opportunities
The University of York Europe Campus successfully hosted its annual Career Fair from 21 to 29 April, delivering a dynamic hybrid format that combined online interviews with an in-person event. The onsite event took place on 29 April, bringing students, graduates, and leading employers together for a full day of networking, interviews, and professional development.

Throughout the week-long event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with almost 40 leading companies across multiple industries and countries, explore career paths, and engage in meaningful conversations. The in-person event stood out as a highlight, enabling valuable face-to-face interactions and strengthening professional connections. In total, more than 150 candidates participated in the event, demonstrating a high level of engagement.

Parallel to the interviews, a series of workshops delivered by Pfizer, Deloitte, Olympia Electronics, and Kuehne+Nagel provided practical knowledge and industry perspectives, equipping participants with valuable insights to support their career development.

The event concluded with a seminar for company representatives delivered by Dr Giovanni Serafini, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at the School of Business. The session explored the evolving role of HRM, focusing on leadership, organisational trust, and the impact of artificial intelligence, while introducing the concept of Common Good HRM as a values-driven approach to organisational design.

As a key annual initiative, the Career Fair serves as a vital link between academia and industry, offering students and alumni unique networking opportunities, direct exposure to employers, and first-hand insights into the evolving job market. Each year, the event proves instrumental in supporting career progression, with many participants securing internships or job positions.

The Career Fair was organised by the Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre of the University of York Europe Campus, ensuring a well-coordinated and impactful experience for all involved.
The University extends its sincere thanks to all participating companies, as well as to its students and graduates, for contributing to the success of this initiative.
Warm thanks to all participating companies
