At the University of York Europe Campus, CITY  we are committed to be active in high-quality research and innovation at a local, regional and international level . Our mission is to inform and enhance teaching, support industry and societal partners, and contribute to the development and well-being of our communities. Research excellence and the advancement of scientific knowledge are central to our institutional strategy.

Our strategic aim is to promote responsible research that contributes to the betterment of society.  Our work is guided by transdisciplinary themes such as sustainability, digital transformation, and well-being and inclusion—addressing key societal challenges. 

We strive to translate research into impactful practice and policy while engaging with communities at local, regional, and European levels.  Through strong collaborations with academia, industry, government, and society, we aim to become a leading research hub in South East Europe.
