The Psychology Department undertakes basic and applied research that addresses current societal challenges and aims at understanding the complexity of the human brain and behaviour.
Our ultimate goal is to maintain and enhance mental health and well-being through innovative diagnostic, preventive and therapeutical approaches as well as to reduce inequalities in our society. Part of our mission is to train and mentor young researchers to create a thriving research community in South East Europe, and strengthen long-term capacity in the region and beyond.

We adopt an interdisciplinary research approach by combining neurophysiological (EEG), psychophysiological (biosignal and eye tracking), and behavioural methods, both quantitative and qualitative.
