Sophia Mitropoulou

Dr Sophia Mitropoulou was born in Thessaloniki 23.01.1969. She studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After her law degree, she was awarded from the above University her Master’s degree in Commercial and Economic Law in the areas of Banking, Insurance, Maritime and I.P.R. Law and a few years later the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Banking Law. Since 1992, she is an attorney at law (Supreme Court level) as a Member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association, dealing with civil, commercial, criminal and administrative law cases. For eight years Dr. Mitropoulou was a lawyer for the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She received diplomas for participating in various legal seminars from the University of Social Sciences in Grenoble, the Academy of European University Institute in Florence, Tulane Law School and the General Council of the Bar of South Africa. She was a contributor of “Banking, Securities and Stock-Exchange Review” and co- editor of “Commercial Law Review”.
