Aggeliki Papakonstantinou

Ms. Angeliki Papakonstantinou is an accomplished academic and leader in higher education with over two decades of experience in teaching and administration. She plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and academic offerings of the department.

Ms. Papakonstantinou holds an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Leeds and a BA in Communication Studies with Professional Writing from Sheffield Hallam University. She also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching from the University of Sheffield. Her academic expertise spans Marketing and Communication, and she has extensive experience in supervising postgraduate dissertations.

Academic Leadership and Contributions:
Ms. Papakonstantinou’s leadership has significantly contributed to the development and quality enhancement of educational programmes. Key achievements include:

  • Spearheading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for the Business Administration and Economics Department.
  • Chairing key academic boards and committees, including the Learning, Teaching, and Assessment Committee, the Academic Boards and leading curriculum reviews to ensure high-quality education.
  • Active involvement in quality assurance processes with prominent accreditations such as QAA, BAC, AMBA, and AACSB.
  • Overseeing faculty development, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative academic environment.

Creative Endeavors
Outside the academic sphere, Ms. Papakonstantinou is an active member of YMCA’s Creative Writing Team and a published co-author of novels and short stories.

Her dedication to academic excellence, student development, and creative thinking has made her a valued member and mentor within the university community.

Innovative Teaching Practices:Ms. Papakonstantinou is recognized for her innovative and student-centered teaching methods. Her classes often incorporate practical, real-world experiences such as mock job interviews, student-led meetings, and creative marketing projects. She has also successfully integrated digital platforms, encouraging students to create professional LinkedIn profiles as part of their learning journey.

She has presented research at notable conferences, including the University of Sheffield’s Learning and Teaching Conference and the International Conference on Education and New Developments.
