Eva Malinaki

Dr. Eva Malinaki is a Health Communication scholar specializing in digital media, public health communication, and communication research. She earned her PhD in Health Communication from the School of Journalism and Mass Media Studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, receiving unanimous distinction. Her doctoral research examined online health information-seeking, eHealth literacy, emotional processes, and socioeconomic health disparities using quantitative and qualitative methods.

She also holds an MA in Communication and Culture and a BA in Journalism and Mass Media Studies from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with additional Erasmus studies at Universidad Cardenal Herrera–CEU (Spain). Her research focuses on the intersection of health communication, digital media, and social psychology, particularly health literacy, misinformation, emotional responses to health information, and health inequalities among vulnerable populations.

Dr. Malinaki has distinguished herself in her field by publishing her research in prestigious, internationally peer-reviewed journals and presenting her findings at leading global academic conferences, demonstrating both the rigor and impact of her scholarly contributions. She has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Greece and abroad, teaching courses in research methods, quantitative data analysis, health communication, interpersonal communication, and mass communication and public health. She is actively involved in funded research projects and has contributed as a scientific coordinator and author to national educational and vocational training initiatives.
