Eleftheria Christianopoulou

Dr Eleftheria Christianopoulou was born on 17.10.1972, in Drama, Greece. Since 1997, she is a member of the Thessaloniki Bar Association. Since 2013, she has a permission to attend the Supreme Court of Greece. She has extensive experience in advising banks and large corporates in issues related to civil, commercial and bank law, public contracts and all aspects of restructuring.

She speaks fluent English and French. She can read German.

Dr Eleftheria Christianopoulou has a two year teaching experience in Higher Education and has taught the following modules: Law of obligations/Tort Law, Inheritance Law, Synthesis of Civil and Civil Procedural Law (Civil Law), Consumer Protection Law, Banking Law (in English).

At the York Europe Campus Law School, she teaches the modules “Law of Obligations II”, “Principles of English Law of Contracts”, “Principles of English Law of Torts” and “Modern Types of Contracts and Specific Sections of Contract Law” as part of the undergraduate program entitled “Greek Law with Common Law” and the module “Contracts of Modern Economy and Formation of Contracts” as part of the postgraduate program entitled “LLM in Business Law”.

Her research interests are particularly focused on Law of obligations and Tort Law, Consumer Protection Law, the special legislative regime of State Guarantees and Banking Law.
She is a member of the Association of Civil Lawyers (www.enas.gr) and of the Northen Greece Lawyers’ Company (www.enobe.org.gr).
