Anna Orfanidou

Dr. Anna G. Orfanidou is a lecturer at the University of York Europe Campus, where she teaches Journalism and Communication. She is a researcher at the International Peace Journalism Laboratory and a member of the Digital Communication Network Global. Her research focuses on Media Literacy and News Consumption. She has presented her work at numerous international conferences and has published six articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. A native Greek speaker, she is also fluent in English, German, French, Spanish, and Turkish. She was awarded her doctoral degree with distinction (“Excellent”) from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, School of Economic and Political Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In addition, she is an active journalist and a member of the Journalists’ Union of Macedonia and Thrace Daily Newspapers.
