We are delighted to announce that Professor Panayiotis Ketikidis, Vice-Provost (Research and Innovation) of the University of York Europe Campus, has been appointed National Representative of Greece to the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).
In this prestigious role, Professor Ketikidis will work closely with Greece’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem to strengthen the country’s deep-tech landscape and strategic representation at the European level. His mandate focuses on supporting Greek innovators, SMEs, and startups, enabling them to scale, compete, and succeed across Europe through EIC instruments and initiatives.
Professor Ketikidis brings to this role extensive experience in technology, entrepreneurship, research leadership, and innovation policy. His appointment reflects both his longstanding personal commitment to innovation-driven growth and the University of York Europe Campus’ dedication to fostering impactful research, entrepreneurship, and strong links between academia, industry, and the wider European research and innovation community.
