Short bio:
Chris Liasidis is a Professor in Marketing Management and Operations Management and Business Strategy in the Department of Business Administration and Economics Department of the University of York Europe Campus. He is also the Director of ExMBA. He worked as a senior auditor for ROBSON RHODES – Chartered Accountants and as a consultant engineer for THE BEINHAM MEIKLE PARTNERSHIP in the UK.
Chris Liasidis also has extensive experience in the Property Development sector and a 30-year teaching experience in Business Studies. Recently, he has participated in two EU-funded research projects. He is also acting as a Marketing consultant for STEROPAL SA. and other firms in the Balkan and the Caucasus region.
MBA Class Overview:
The Open MBA Class in question will attempt to shed light on the technique of gamification as a modern tool in engaging employees and customers. The principles of gamification will be discussed and how excitement (hence commitment) can develop through the use of the 10 game mechanics, the six-step method that can be employed, and the psychology behind such an effort. Examples will be presented of success stories involving gamification in a number of industries, ranging from the hotel and hospitality industry to retailing.

Participants will be exposed to the principles behind gamification, the step-by-step method that could be followed, and a number of recent cases that have boosted the performance and revenue of organizations.
In the frame of the Open Class, participants will have the opportunity to attend a short presentation of the Pan-European Executive MBA, a dual degree MBA programme, leading to two MBA degrees, one from the British University of York and one from the French University of Strasbourg.
