Students from the Humanities Department at the University of York Europe Campus visited the London Fashion Academy on Friday, for an immersive educational experience focused on the creative industries and the world of fashion.

During the visit, students attended a masterclass on Art Direction delivered by our alumna Ioanna Mitakidou, Co-Founder and CEO at London Makeup Institute (LMI) and London Fashion Academy (LFA) gaining valuable insights into the creative processes behind fashion campaigns, visual storytelling, and brand identity. They also had the unique opportunity to observe a live professional fashion photoshoot, experiencing first-hand the collaboration between photographers, stylists, models, and creative directors.

The visit was co-organised by the Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre and the Humanities Department, as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to connecting students with industry professionals and real-world creative environments.

We warmly thank London Fashion Academy and Ioanna Mitakidou for hosting our students and offering such an inspiring and engaging experience.
