CITY Student Union is the official representative body for undergraduate and postgraduate students, led by elected officers. It is dedicated to advocating for students' rights, enhancing their university experience, and fostering an inclusive and dynamic student community.
CSU consists of elected students through a transparent voting procedure. The union serves as a bridge between students and the university administration, voicing student concerns, organizing activities, and improving student life. Elections take place annually, allowing all students to vote for their representatives. CSU is responsible for communicating student concerns, proposing changes, and coordinating events throughout the year.
1. President – Oversees CSU activities, provides guidance and support to members.
2. Vice President – Assists the President and represents Master’s level students.
3. Public Relations and Communications Officer – Organizes events, supports student clubs, manages social media updates.
4. Welfare and Education Officer – Works with the Student Services Department and Academic Departments to address student concerns.
5. Sports and Recreational Activities Officer – Manages sports and recreational activities.
An Academic Representative (Academic Rep) is a volunteer undergraduate or postgraduate student who represents their classmates to the department, communicates class issues to CSU officers, and participates in key student meetings.
We recognize the dedication of Academic Reps! The Student Services Department provides online certificates of accreditation for their time and contributions.
Academic Reps are encouraged to foster an educational environment, represent students responsibly, and demonstrate good citizenship both on and off campus. CSU and Academic Reps work together to ensure student voices are heard and effectively represented.
The Department of Student Services and Alumni provides guidance and support to CSU and Academic Reps.
