As a postgraduate, I held a research training fellowship and taught psychology courses at the University of Almeria, Spain. My training included research visits to the Neuropsychology Center at the University of Birmingham and the Center for Perception and Motor Control at the University of Wales, Bangor. In 2000, I joined the Psychology Department at the University of Sheffield International Faculty, where I continue teaching and conducting research in collaboration with institutions such as North Dakota State University, Brain Science Institute – RIKEN (Japan), InHolland University, and South China Normal University.
I have received funding from several multidisciplinary European research projects and co-organised events including the ESCoP PhD Summer School and the International Meeting of Applied Neuroscience. I have successfully supervised four PhD students and currently supervise two. I serve on the Advisory Council of the International Association for the Study of Attention & Performance, act as Greek officer for ESCoP, and regularly review for journals and agencies.
